22 January, 2009
Imagine a case where you are busy chatting with some friends in Gmail chat. One of a friend wants you to send a video link of youtube. So s/he simply paste the link in a chat space and you’ll receive the link Now what will you do to watch the video?
The answer is simple enough. You’ll copy the link from the chat window and paste it in your browser’s addressbar to watch the video. Here comes a new way to do this task. It now gets more easy.

When someone sends you a youtube video link while chatting, you’ll get a thumbnail view of the video right inside your chatting window. Clicking on a play button will open another box above the previous one that streams the video.
This facility inside GMail chat will provide you features like Play/Pause, Rewind/Forward and Volume Plus/Minus. For other features like Full Screen Mode and Embedding, you still have to go to youtube.
So from now, Pass on the interesting youtube video links to your friends without disturbing your gossip.
