GMail's own PDF Viewer

13 December, 2008

Viewing a PDF document that comes as an email attachment is a tough task. Firstly, you need to download a full document. Then, you must need any PDF Viewer like Adobe Reader that can open the downloaded PDF document. This task requires some significant amount of time. Moreover, if you're using Adobe Reader, it takes some time to load as well.

To overcome this situation, GMail is here to help you. When you receive an email with a PDF attachment *, click on the "View" link next to the attached PDF document. This will open the PDF document inside the browser itself. Pictures and formatting inside the PDF will be as it is.

You always have an option to download the document for offline usage. Besides that, you can also view the document in plain HTML. Both this options will be appeared at the top of the PDF viewer.

Thanks: GMail Blog and Google System.

Tip (*): Accessing this link inside GMail will filter out all the email messages that includes PDF attachment.
